The Working Sanctuary

Hi….

This is my place with a welcoming committee of eucalyptus and bay with hellebores at their feet. Flanked by giant white scabious and magenta coreopsis amongst many other perennials. I’m Jane and this small patch of earth is my sanctuary created by me, my go to place where I escape and immerse myself within. Patrolling the boundaries we have hollyhocks and lupins with many seasonal perennials that seamlessly flourish from season to season.

From hellebores, snow drops and crocus to nepeta, cardoon and sunset agastache to name a few.

This is my ever changing 'haven that quietens my mind amongst the peace of nature with only bird song for company. I sow annuals from seed, a very therapeutic process as you will gather from the Potager Journal. Growing organically is very important to me and letting nature take its course can be difficult at times but the rewards far out way those moments.

The Potager has seen many transformations, always many projects to complete and one day I will be content but isn’t this what growing is all about…

Moving forward and change…?
